Alleged Titan Concept Art Leaked

Early this morning, one of my followers on Twitter named @muskieratboi sent me a tweet with a link to an image that they had seen posted on Reddit. They were wondering what the image was, as it does have the Blizzard logo on it. The Reddit post alleges that the image is a piece of Titan concept art. The person who posted this on Reddit has been a member of the site for roughly two hours as of 3 am CST, and has only made one post, this one. I show you this image with a heavy disclaimer that it is in no way verified, or otherwise assured as an authentic piece from Blizzard or for the Titan project. With that disclaimer said, here is a link to the much larger image. Look for some analysis of the image after the break.

[Update: As has been pointed out on the Reddit page, the art is a fake, or at least it’s allegation of it being Blizzard art. It appears the majority of the basis for the piece is this work. Unless Titan is a work based on the Marvel comics universe, it is pretty heavily debunked.]

What is Real End Game For You?

I was listening to a podcast the other day, and the guest said, in a tone that spoke of elitism, about some people not having had a chance to do any ‘real end game’ in Mists yet. This kind of piqued my interest, and caused me to question the views of the speaker. I will admit I do not know this person very well, they were a guest on the show I was listening to, and I don’t listen to the show they are a part of. I caveat this because it is always possible that this was sarcasm, or an attempt at humor by the person I heard say this.

Considering More Changes in Leadership

The folks at Blizzard have been pretty up front about what is coming for Garrosh, at least in his role as Warchief. At the end of the Pandaren campaign, we will face Garrosh and remove him as Warchief. We don’t know if he will survive the encounter, but Blizzard has most definitely lived up to their promise that there will be no doubts or questions about why we are taKing Garrosh down. He has, since landing on the shores of Pandaria, taken actions and given orders that leave even the most loyal Horde member thinKing twice about his leadership.

When thinKing about Garrosh’s fate for another piece, I was considering what might or should happen on the Alliance side. The Alliance has Varian Wrynn as it’s leader, and I realize there are a lot of players who truly cannot stand him. While I have never understood where this hatred of Varian comes from, I know a lot of players on both sides do not like him.

Previewing Patch 5.2

As I write this, and at the time you read it, the 5.2 patch for World of Warcraft is likely only days, if not hours, away. The first raid tier patch of this expansion cycle will bring a lot of great content, in and out of the raiding experience. Blizzard recently released the patch trailer, and that has stoked up a lot of the players for the coming content. Let’s take a look at some of the highlight features of the new patch.

It’s Dangerous to Go Alone! (and Also Epic!)

Treasure room - Thunder Isle

In just days you will join millions of other players as forces from both the Horde and Alliance travel to the Isle of Thunder to challenge Lei Shen and make short work of his return to life.

The day will come, be it in Raid Finder or Normal mode, where you strike the final blow against the Thunder King. Well, maybe the next to final blow. Or the fourth from final blow. I mean, there’s 17 DPS in the group so… who knows, right?

Help Make Blizzcon a Reality!

Many of our listeners are aware that it is a huge dream of mine to get to Anaheim for a Blizzcon. In order to try and make that happen, I have taken a page(with permission) from Elvinelol on twitter, who is doing a series of donation drives to raise the funds to go. I have set up a Raffles page, and will be running a few drives over the next few weeks to raise some funds. There is also a simple Donation button if you prefer to just donate without entering. The first drive I am holding begins today, and features the chance to win either a Corrupted Hippogryph mount, or a Swift Shorestrider mount. Thank you all for your support, and Good Luck!

Buying into the story for Mists

The story that we are experiencing in Mists of Pandaria is a very different one than we had in previous expansions, even down to the lack of a Big Bad. I wanted to look a bit into the story we have, and ponder if people are feeling like they have a buy in to the story and content of this expansion.

First, let me define the term ‘buy in’ as it applies here. Buy in is when someone feels like they are a part of the experience, and have something to gain or lose in the process that is being followed. If you experienced buy in to the Wrath expansion, you would care if Arthas was stopped, that all of the bosses we faced had to be dealt with, and so on. Buy in for Cataclysm would mean a belief that Deathwing had to die, so the world could be saved. Those expansions had relatively easy buy in. Of course the Lich King had to die, or his undead army would wipe out the living. Of course Deathwing had to die, look what he did to the world!
